Berengarra School has been recognised by the Herald Sun for its commitment to supporting neurodivergent students. “Another top school is independent Berengarra School in Melbourne’s east. Head of the Box Hill campus Mitzi Sneesby said the school focuses on building relationships before students start learning.

Mitzi Sneesby said building positive relationships is at the centre of Berengarra School’s approach to teaching and learning.

“Relationships and building connection underpins everything we do,” Ms Sneesby said.

“Once we have built the relationship, we breakdown the barriers to students learning.

“A lot of students with high anxiety find it hard just to get through the gate.”
