Knowing how the day works helps me arrive, settle in and focus on what I am working towards.
I have time to arrive and settle in
I can arrive at the Chadstone Campus from 9:15 am, when supervision begins. The school day starts at 9:30 am, so I have a little time to arrive, settle in and get ready for the day.
My day begins with Home Group
At 9:30 am, I begin Home Group. This gives me time to check in with staff, understand what is happening that day and organise anything I need before lessons begin.
I know how the day will move
There are four lessons and three breaks across the day, with Home Group at the beginning and end.
My learning connects with what comes next
My learning is connected to my senior pathway and what I am working towards after school. Depending on my program, my day may include:
My program might include
At break, I can choose what works for me
During breaks, I can spend time with other students or choose some quieter time. I do not have to socialise in one particular way.
Staff are available if I need help with learning, planning, relationships, transitions or working out what to do next.
I have time to get ready to leave
The day finishes with a short Home Group from 2:30 to 2:40 pm, giving me time to organise my belongings and prepare to leave.
School finishes at 2:40 pm, and supervision continues until 2:50 pm.
